Daniel Ayalon Biography
Danny Ayalon is a seasoned diplomat who has shaped Israeli foreign policy at the highest levels. He served as foreign policy advisor to three consecutive Israeli Prime Ministers—Benyamin Netanyahu, Ehud Barak, and Ariel Sharon—participating in peace talks throughout the 1990s, and as Israel’s Ambassador to the United States from 2002 to 2006. He has also held leadership roles with the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce, the America-Israel Friendship League, and the University Center at Ariel.
Ayalon was elected to the 18th Knesset in 2009 and served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs until 2013. He has received the Brandeis Award from the Jewish Community of Baltimore (2005) and the Builder of Jerusalem Award from Aish Hatorah (2008).
Today, Amb. Ayalon travels globally, sharing insights from the negotiating room, highlighting Israel’s democracy and innovation, and advocating for the country’s interests. He is the founder of the non-profit The Truth About Israel, which educates students, diplomats, and professionals on Israel’s history, policies, and international relations through media and outreach programs.
