Dana Evans

Dana Evans is an elite point guard, advocate, and cultural leader. Her game is defined by speed, scoring, and relentless competitiveness. Currently with the Las Vegas Aces, Evans has established herself as one of the league’s most dynamic playmakers and a rising star. A product of Gary, Indiana, Evans didn’t start playing basketball until the fourth grade, yet by sixth grade, her defensive skills had already drawn the attention of college scouts, including an offer from Valparaiso head coach Keith Freeman. She went on to make history as the first girl from Gary to play in the McDonald’s All-American Game, averaging more than 35 points per game as a senior and winning three Class 4A sectional titles for West Side Leadership Academy.

At the University of Louisville, Evans became a program legend: a two-time ACC Player of the Year, All-American, and team leader who helped put the Cardinals on the national stage. Drafted into the WNBA, she quickly proved her value, becoming a key contributor on the 2021 Chicago Sky WNBA Championship team. Four years later, Evans won her second WNBA championship with the 2025 Las Vegas Aces.

Off the court, Evans is committed to community development, mentorship, and youth empowerment. Through Team Evans, her grassroots basketball and mentorship program, she creates opportunities for young athletes to build skills, confidence, and discipline while staying grounded in community and culture. Evans represents the next generation of athletes: talented, culture-forward, and purpose-driven, with a legacy that transcends the game.
