Dana Dawsey

Dana Dawsey is an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) executive with more than two decades of experience advancing safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance in global corporations. Dawsey has held senior leadership roles at Fortune 100 companies, including Caterpillar Inc., Dow Chemical, Merck Pharmaceutical, and Pentair. As vice president of EHS for Pentair, Dawsey leads global initiatives focused on workplace safety, environmental compliance, and operational sustainability. She has spoken at industry events such as the Verdantix EHS Summit North America, advocating for a unified approach to safety among all contractors.

Dawsey has directed EHS programs across manufacturing, technology, and healthcare sectors, developing strategies that align regulatory compliance with operational efficiency and sustainability. Her leadership has contributed to reduced incident rates, minimized environmental impacts, and improved employee well-being. At Merck, Dawsey served as executive director of safety and environment, supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, including the Black Executive Leadership Consortium.

Dawsey is recognized in the EHS community for her expertise in safety leadership, behavioral insights, and communication strategies. She frequently presents at conferences and seminars, sharing insights on emerging EHS trends, technology integration, and best practices. Dawsey holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and technology and a master's degree in industrial management from Northern Illinois University. She is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Safety Professional, and a Certified Coach, Speaker, and Trainer.

In addition to her corporate work, Dawsey founded Dawsey Leadership Solutions, an organization focused on mentoring and developing future leaders from underrepresented backgrounds. She is a Certified DISC Consultant and has been recognized among the Top 100 Executive Role Models.
