Dan Quinn

Dan Quinn embarked on his professional journey as a head coach in the National Football League (NFL) with the Atlanta Falcons from 2015 to 2020. His tenure witnessed a Super Bowl appearance in the 2016 season, and later assumed the additional role as the defensive coordinator for the Falcons in 2019. Quinn's coaching career spans multiple NFL teams, including the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, and Dallas Cowboys. He notably served as the defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys from 2021 to 2023, during which the Cowboys' defense led the league in turnovers.

In 2024, Quinn was named the head coach of the Washington Commanders, a role he holds to the present day. In his first year, he led the team to an appearance in the NFC Championship Game, showcasing his ability to effectively guide and motivate his team. His coaching prowess was recognized in 2021 when he was awarded the Assistant Coach of the Year. Among other accolades, Quinn received the NFL Salute to Service award in 2016 and was inducted into the Salisbury Athletics Hall of Fame in 2005.

Apart from his coaching career, Quinn has made notable contributions outside the football field. He lent his voice for the announcement trailer of the video game "Madden NFL 26" in 2025. In the same year, he was bestowed with the prestigious Ted Stevens Leadership Award for his support of military families. Quinn's public speaking skills were highlighted when he delivered a commencement speech at Salisbury University in May 2025, where he was also honored with an honorary doctorate.
