Dan Hurley

Dan Hurley, currently holding the reins as the head coach of the UConn Huskies men's basketball team, has an extensive record of achievement in the realm of collegiate basketball. Under his leadership, UConn has clinched NCAA Division I national championships in consecutive years, 2023 and 2024. Hurley's strategic prowess has not only been reflected in his team's successes but also recognized by the Naismith Coach of the Year and Sporting News National Coach of the Year awards in 2024. His career head coaching record stands at a commendable 349–179 (.661) in NCAA basketball.

Hurley's coaching journey extends beyond UConn, with significant improvements seen in the programs at Rhode Island and Wagner under his guidance. Notably, his career has seen him lead teams to three NCAA Division I regional – Final Four appearances in 2023, 2024, and 2026. Despite attractive head coaching offers from such prestigious teams as Kentucky and the Los Angeles Lakers, Hurley chose to continue his journey with UConn, agreeing to a six-year contract extension in 2024.

Off the court, Hurley's influence has extended to the media, with a feature in ESPN's "E60" documentary in 2025. Notably, his 2023–24 season saw him guide UConn to a school-record 37 wins, a Big East regular season title, and a Big East tournament championship.
