Dan Frommer

Dan Frommer is a technology and business journalist with a career at the forefront of digital media. After starting at Forbes, Frommer helped create Business Insider as its second employee. He played a key role in the development of Silicon Alley Insider, which evolved into Business Insider and now Insider, contributing reporting, editing, and helping to shape the publication's voice and style. Frommer has also served as technology editor at Quartz and as a reporter at Forbes. Over 15 years as a technology financial journalist, he has covered Apple, the smartphone industry, and the app economy, building a reputation as a trusted voice in technology journalism.

Frommer has held the position of editor in chief at Recode, the technology and business news publication from Vox Media. He has also launched his own ventures, including the tech news site SplatF and the mobile travel guide startup City Notes. A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Frommer is based in Los Angeles.

Frommer launched "The New Consumer," a publication focused on how and why people spend their time and money.
