Dale Dickey

Dale Dickey is a character actress recognized for her extensive work across theater, film, and television. Dickey began her career on stage, performing in the Broadway production of "The Merchant of Venice," and appeared in revivals of "A Streetcar Named Desire," "Sweeney Todd," as well as other off-Broadway and regional theater productions. She is a recipient of two Ovation Awards for her stage work in Los Angeles. Dickey has established a presence in both mainstream and independent films, making her television debut as Opal McHone in the CBS historical drama Christy.

Dickey earned the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female for her performance as Merab in the independent drama film "Winter's Bone." The film, a thriller set in the Ozark Mountains, received the Grand Jury Prize for Dramatic Film at Sundance and brought attention to Dickey's portrayal of Merab. Her experience in character roles spans a range of genres and includes recurring performances in television series such as "My Name Is Earl," "Breaking Bad," "True Blood," and "Justified." Dickey played the leading role in the thriller film "The G," and her performance as Rosemary in the Apple TV+ series "Widow's Bay" earned her a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
