Dabo Swinney

Dabo Swinney is the head coach of the Clemson Tigers football team, a position he has held since 2008. He is the first coach in program history to lead Clemson to multiple national titles. As of 2024, his career record stands at 180 wins and 47 losses, with a winning percentage of .793, making him one of the most successful active coaches in college football. Throughout his tenure, Swinney has been known for his recruiting prowess and player development, producing numerous National Football League Draft picks, including 18 first-round selections.

In 2024, Swinney led the Tigers to a 10–4 overall record, with a 7–1 mark in ACC play. The season was highlighted by a victory in the ACC Championship Game, where Clemson defeated Southern Methodist University 34–31. Under Swinney, Clemson has won multiple ACC titles and victories in the College Football Playoff National Championship in both 2016 and 2018.

Swinney played college football as a wide receiver for the University of Alabama and was part of the 1992 national championship team. After graduating with a degree in business administration and earning a master's degree in business education, Swinney joined Alabama's coaching staff as a graduate assistant and later as a full-time coach.

In 2003, he joined Clemson University as the wide receivers coach under head coach Tommy Bowden. Swinney was named Clemson's interim head coach in 2008 after Bowden's resignation. He was given the permanent position later that year and has since become one of the most successful and well-respected coaches in college football, known for his leadership, motivational skills, and emphasis on creating a positive culture both on and off the field. Swinney has received several awards, including the Bear Bryant Award and the Home Depot Coach of the Year Award.

Swinney has demonstrated his dedication to the community through Dabo’s All In Team Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Swinney and his wife, Kathleen. Since its inception, the foundation has raised millions of dollars in support of its five main areas of focus: supporting breast cancer research and prevention; education and literacy; family and youth support; clothing, food and shelter; and grants and community outreach.
