D'Andre Swift

D'Andre Swift is an NFL running back known for his versatility and dual-threat capabilities as both a rusher and receiver. After a successful high school career in Philadelphia, where he was named Pennsylvania Football Writers All-State Player of the Year and led his team to a state championship, Swift played college football at the University of Georgia. During three seasons with the Bulldogs, Swift accumulated 2,885 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns on 440 carries, along with 73 receptions for 666 yards and five touchdowns. He ranks among the top rushers in school history and became the fifth player in the program to record multiple 1,000-yard rushing seasons. Swift was named a First-Team All-SEC selection following his junior year.

Swift was selected by the Detroit Lions with the 35th overall pick in the second round of the NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars, becoming the first Lions rookie running back since Barry Sanders to rush for more than 100 yards and score two touchdowns in a game. After three seasons in Detroit, Swift was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he set career highs in carries, rushing yards, and scrimmage yards. He finished the regular season ranked fifth in the NFL in rushing yards and earned his first Pro Bowl selection.

Swift later signed a three-year, $24 million contract with the Chicago Bears and quickly became a key part of the team's offense. He recorded a career-high 1,087 rushing yards and nine touchdowns in one season, averaging 5.39 yards per attempt over the final 13 weeks, which was the second-best in the NFL among running backs with at least 100 attempts. In the postseason, Swift scored a pivotal touchdown in the Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers, helping the Bears overcome a significant deficit for a 31–27 victory.

Since entering the NFL, Swift has established himself as one of the league's most productive running backs, with 2,097 receiving yards and 271 receptions, both ranking fourth among running backs during his tenure. His combination of rushing and receiving skills has made him a valuable asset for every team he has played for. Swift signed a three-year, $33.75 million extension with the Bears, including $27.5 million in guaranteed money, solidifying his role as a foundational player in Chicago's offense and a prominent figure among NFL running backs.
