Curt Doussett

Curt Doussett is an American actor, television host, and public speaker with a career spanning three decades across stage, screen, and the corporate speaking circuit. Although he initially studied music theory, Doussett discovered his passion for acting while performing in plays at the local Hale Center Theater, an experience that set him on the path toward a career in acting and improvisation.

Doussett launched his career with roles in "Everwood" and "Touched by an Angel." His television work expanded to include guest appearances on "CSI: Miami," "NCIS: Navy Criminal Investigative Service," "Phil of the Future," and the Disney Channel telefilm "Go Figure."

Doussett's profile rose when he entered unscripted television hosting. He hosted "America's Lost Treasures" on National Geographic Channel and "Hazard Pay" on Discovery Channel, where he experienced a range of high-risk professions. He also served as host of Syfy's show "Exit." These hosting roles highlighted his ability to remain composed and engaging under pressure, qualities that have defined his on-screen presence in the entertainment industry.

In film, Doussett has built a résumé in independent cinema. His acting credits include "The R.M.," "Saints and Soldiers" (nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards), "Church Ball" opposite Fred Willard and Clint Howard, and "Adventures of Food Boy" opposite Lucas Grabeel. He also appeared in the film "Midway to Heaven," starring opposite Michelle Money and Kirby Heyborne. Doussett is also known for his role in "Cryo."

Beyond his on-screen work, Doussett is active in improvisational comedy. ComedyBox Utah, formerly ComedySportz, is based in Provo and has served as a venue for family-friendly improv comedy for more than 25 years, having been founded by Tonia and Curt Doussett. As owner and director, he led the group to competitive success, including a third-place national finish and first in the western region. This immersion in improv has informed his professional life, from acting to his work as a keynote speaker.

Doussett has shared insights on confidence, communication, and public speaking, drawing from his experience in improv, acting, and television hosting. As a public speaker, he has hosted events in cities across the United States and for companies such as Microsoft, NuSkin, and Usana.
