Crystal Renee Hayslett

Crystal Renee Hayslett is an actress, producer, costume designer, and podcast host known for her work in television, film, and media. Hayslett earned a bachelor's degree in mass communication and public relations from the University of Tennessee at Martin before beginning her career in public service as an intern for the United States Senate in Washington, D.C. She later served as a correspondent for the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions committee. Hayslett transitioned to the entertainment industry, relocating to Atlanta to pursue opportunities in film and television.

Hayslett began her entertainment career in the costume department, building experience over several years. She joined Tyler Perry Studios as a production assistant and later became Tyler Perry's personal stylist. Hayslett contributed as a costume designer to television series including "If Loving You Is Wrong," "Too Close to Home," "The Haves and the Have Nots," "The Paynes," and "Tyler Perry's Young Dylan," as well as films such as "Boo! A Madea Halloween," "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween," "Acrimony," "Nobody's Fool," and "A Madea Family Funeral."

Hayslett's acting career gained prominence with her role as Fatima Wilson in the Tyler Perry series "Sistas." She was promoted to series regular and appeared throughout multiple seasons. Her performance led to a leading role in the spinoff series "Zatima," a BET+ production co-starring Devale Ellis. Hayslett also appeared in the feature film "Praise This," produced by Will Packer Productions and Universal Pictures.
