Crowder

David Crowder, initially known as the lead vocalist of the David Crowder Band from 1996 to 2012, embarked on a successful solo career in 2013. As a solo artist, Crowder has released a series of noteworthy albums such as "Neon Steeple" in 2014, "American Prodigal" in 2016, "I Know a Ghost" in 2018, "Milk & Honey" in 2021, and most recently "The Exile" in 2024. His musical journey has led him to significant achievements, with multiple tracks charting on Christian Songs, Billboard 200, and other music charts. His single "I Am," from his debut solo album, reached No. 3 on the Christian Songs chart.

Crowder, apart from being a renowned musician, served as the pastor of worship at University Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. His leadership in worship contributed significantly to the church's growth. He was also a key figure at the Fantastical Church Music Conference at Baylor University, hosting a range of notable presenters. His dedication to his craft extended to his unique approach to music, incorporating unconventional instruments and modified electronic devices into his compositions. This innovative approach to music was a key feature of his band's album "A Collision or (3+4=7)", which reached No. 2 on the iTunes Music Store and No. 39 on the Billboard 200.

Aside from his music career, Crowder is also an author, having penned two books: "Praise Habit: Finding God in Sunsets and Sushi" and "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven, but Nobody Wants to Die or (The Eschatology of Bluegrass)" with Mike Hogan. These books further demonstrate his creative capacity and his ability to engage audiences on multiple platforms. Crowder's broad spectrum of accomplishments, combined with his Grammy nomination in 2015 for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "Come As You Are," and his GMA Dove Awards make him a notable Christian musician.
