Cristo Fernández

Cristo Fernández is an actor, director, producer, and screenwriter from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He holds a degree in communications from the Universidad del Valle de Atemajac (UNIVA) and earned a Master’s degree in Acting from the Guildford School of Acting in the United Kingdom. Fernández is multilingual, speaking Spanish, English, German, French, and Italian.

In 2017, Fernández founded Espectro MX Films, through which he has produced, written, and performed in several internationally screened films. His feature film “No Translation Required” reflects his interest in multicultural storytelling. Other notable projects include “Fuera de Serie,” a film based on the life of television inventor Guillermo González Camarena, which received the “Best Production” and “Best Short Film Direction” awards at the Premios Latino 2018 in Marbella, Spain. His film “Çdo Çast / Every Moment” earned “Best Film” and “Best Photography” honors at the Festival Internacional de Cine Ciudad Madero – FICCMA 2019.

Before establishing his acting career, Fernández was a professional soccer player. He competed in youth reserve systems in Germany with 1. FC Köln and SC West Köln, and later played in Mexico with teams including Tecos UAG. He also played with reserve and professional squads for San Antonio Scorpions FC and Guayama FC.

Since 2020, Fernández has been widely recognized for portraying Dani Rojas on the Ted Lasso on Apple TV+. He is passionate about international storytelling that blends multicultural, bilingual, and comedic elements, and continues to work across film, television, and global creative projects.
