He founded Good Group Decisions and authored a top 10 bestselling book, "Together We Decide." He has also written a book called "The Wisdom of Group Decisions."
Freshley is a serial founder, having helped launch high-impact organizations like Sustainable Maine, the Maine Downtown Center, and Make Shift Coffee House. In his twenties, he started a first-of-its-kind bike messenger company in Portland, Maine.
Freshley has made a career of studying and teaching groups how to get along. He has facilitated over 3,000 meetings, helping countless groups make smart decisions and achieve efficient results. In 2019, he won the American Civic Collaboration Award for helping Republicans and Democrats understand one another.
