Corinne Auman

Corinne Auman, Ph.D., is a gerontologist, author, and activist whose work focuses on aging, ageism, and senior care. Auman holds a doctorate in developmental psychology from NC State University, specializing in adulthood and aging. Her background includes more than a decade as a college professor, where she developed and taught courses on lifespan development and intergenerational relationships. This academic experience informs her current roles as a care manager, educator, and advocate for anti-ageism initiatives.

Auman is the author of the award-winning book, "Keenagers: Telling a New Story about Aging," which examines cultural narratives about aging and introduces the concept of the "keenager"—individuals in their 50s, 60s, and beyond who lead active, purposeful lives. The book addresses topics such as life expectancy, planning for later years, caregiving, ageism, and healthcare, and has received recognition as a Firebird Book Award winner.

Auman is the founder and CEO of Choice Care Navigators, a consultancy that supports seniors and their families in navigating the complexities of aging and senior healthcare.
