Cori Close, the head coach for the UCLA Bruins women's basketball team, began her tenure in this role in 2011. Leading the team to numerous victories, Close's coaching prowess has been evident on several occasions. In 2015, her team clinched the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), and in 2025, she guided the Bruins to the NCAA Regional Final Four, demonstrating her ability to navigate high-pressure situations and bring out the best in her team.
Close's leadership also led to consecutive victories at the Big Ten Tournament in 2025 and 2026. The 2026 season also saw the Bruins securing the Big Ten regular season title, further highlighting Close's strategic acumen and ability to build a winning team.
