Cooper Flagg

Cooper Flagg is a professional basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks selected Flagg with the number one pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Flagg made history in his debut season by becoming the youngest player in NBA history to score 35 points in a game, surpassing LeBron James' previous record. He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils in the Atlantic Coast Conference. In 2024, Flagg received the title of National High School Player of the Year, was named a McDonald's All-American, and participated in the prestigious Jordan Brand Classic and the Nike Hoop Summit. In his freshman season at Duke University, he was named the AP Men's Player of the Year and the winner of the 2025 Wooden Award, the fourth freshman in the latter's history to win the award.

Flagg represented the United States on an international platform when he played for the under-17 basketball team at the 2022 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup and was named to the All-Tournament Team. He was also the youngest player to receive the USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year award in 2022. Furthermore, Flagg was named the Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year in 2024. He was also awarded the Gatorade National Men's Athlete of the Year in the same year.

Alongside his athletic accomplishments, Flagg has also made a name for himself in the commercial world. He signed a shoe deal with New Balance before starting his freshman year at Duke, becoming the first men's college basketball player to be sponsored by Gatorade.
