Cody Byrns

Cody Byrns is a keynote speaker, best-selling author, life coach, and burn survivor known for his work in resilience, leadership, and personal development. Before a life-changing accident, Byrns built a career as an entertainer and children's pastor, traveling internationally and engaging audiences with juggling performances and motivational messages. He completed a mission trip to Cuba working with children shortly before a highway accident left him with severe burns to nearly 40 percent of his body, including both hands. After being rescued from his burning vehicle, Byrns spent weeks in a medically induced coma, followed by months in a burn unit and rehabilitation center, where he relearned to walk and use his hands. His recovery included numerous surgeries and a prolonged healing process, during which he faced significant physical and emotional challenges.

Byrns is the author of the best-selling book "Scar Release: Breaking Free of Yesterday's Troubles," which explores overcoming adversity and trauma. He also hosts the "Scar Release" podcast, featuring conversations with individuals who have navigated trauma and continue to inspire others. His E.P.I.C. framework—Embrace Challenges, Provide Perspective, Implement Changes, and Celebrate Outcomes—serves as the foundation for his keynote presentations delivered at corporate events, conferences, universities, schools, and faith-based gatherings. Byrns has delivered a TEDx talk and shared his story on platforms including The 700 Club.

In addition to his speaking and writing, Byrns founded the Cody Byrns Foundation for Burn Survivors, a nonprofit organization supporting burn survivors nationwide with resources for recovery and healing. The foundation facilitates attendance at burn camps and conferences, helping survivors connect and navigate the ongoing process of physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Byrns also partners with Compassion International to support children living in poverty. Through his work, Byrns addresses topics such as resilience, trauma recovery, leadership, and personal transformation.
