Chuck Styles

Chuck Styles is a Philadelphia-based visual artist and creative director known for work that explores themes in contemporary society, culture, music, sports, Black culture, gaming, and cinema. Styles, a multidisciplinary artist, began his journey with a background in barbering before transitioning to a full-time career in visual arts. He received multiple scholarships to Moore College of Art and other institutions during high school and pursued formal art education at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, though he is primarily self-taught.

Styles' portfolio includes traditional acrylic paintings on canvas and digital works created on Apple's iPad. His art is characterized by bold colors, abstract elements, and portraiture, engaging audiences in the United States and internationally. After exhibiting in Miami with Cadillac for Art Basel Weekend, Styles focused on representation as a central theme in his work, particularly highlighting African American subjects and cultural narratives.

His collaborations include projects with Vice President Kamala Harris, Madden NFL 23, Topps, BET, HBO, NASCAR, Marvel, the Chicago Bulls, and the Chicago White Sox. Styles created the stamp art for the official USPS Hank Aaron commemorative Forever stamp, featuring digital paintings of Aaron in iconic moments. He is a Clio Award winner and designed the cover art for the young adult novel "This Is My America" by Kim Johnson. Styles maintains a significant presence in the contemporary visual art community through his social media platforms.

Styles contributes to arts education through Art Buds, a nonprofit program offering free art classes to children ages seven to fifteen at West Philadelphia's Urban Art Gallery, where he also volunteers as an assistant teacher. His career reflects a commitment to creativity, cultural representation, and community engagement within the visual arts industry.
