Christopher Reich

Christopher Reich is a New York Times bestselling author known for his international thriller novels. Before beginning his writing career, Reich graduated from Georgetown University, studied business at the University of Texas, and worked in Switzerland as an investment banker. He later transitioned to roles as a consultant and then as CEO of a watch company in Neuchâtel. After seven years in European finance, Reich shifted to writing fiction.

His debut novel, "Numbered Account," sold over 1 million copies and was translated into more than 23 languages, establishing Reich in the thriller genre. He is the author of financial and legal thrillers including "Numbered Account," "Rules of Deception," "Rules of Vengeance," "Rules of Betrayal," and "The Devil's Banker." His work has received critical acclaim from publications such as Chicago Tribune, The Denver Post, and The New York Times Book Review.

Reich's novels are informed by his background in international finance and European culture. His training in economics and experience in investment banking contribute to the authenticity and tension in his stories. His novel "The Patriots Club" received the International Thriller Writers Award for Best Novel. Reich has created several recurring characters, including Jonathan Ransom, a Doctors Without Borders physician involved in espionage, and Simon Riske, a protagonist in the spy thriller genre.

With "Matterhorn," Reich introduced Mac Dekker, a retired CIA operative navigating personal loss and global intrigue in the Swiss Alps. The series continued with "The Tourists," a thriller centered on espionage and high-stakes personal stakes in Paris. Reich's Simon Riske novels have been optioned for production by Netflix UK, with direction by Academy Award-winning director Edward Berger. Reich's body of work spans multiple series and decades, maintaining a significant presence in the international thriller fiction landscape.
