Christine Romans

Christine Romans is an Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist and author recognized for her expertise in American business and economic news. Romans began her career in print journalism, reporting for Des Moines Register, Knight-Ridder Financial News, and Reuters before transitioning to television. She joined CNN and reported from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, later serving as chief business correspondent and anchor of "Early Start" for CNN.

During her tenure at CNN, Romans covered significant financial stories, including Wall Street developments, the rise of cryptocurrency, the collapse of FTX, the impact of the pandemic on the economy, the regional banking crisis, the financial crisis, and the dot-com bubble and bust. She has interviewed business leaders and public figures such as Bob Iger, Jamie Dimon, Dolly Parton, and Martha Stewart on topics related to money, business, and the economy. Romans also hosted CNN specials, including "Madoff: Secrets of a Scandal," an investigative report examining Bernard Madoff and one of the largest investor frauds committed by an individual.
