Chris Spencer is a former National Football League (NFL) center who built a 10-year professional career on resilience, grit, and mental toughness. A standout at Ole Miss, he helped lead the Rebels to a 2003 Cotton Bowl championship before being selected in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. He made an immediate impact, joining a Seahawks team that reached Super Bowl XL in his rookie year and becoming the team’s starting center by 2007. Spencer went on to play six seasons in Seattle, two with the Chicago Bears, and finished his career with the Tennessee Titans, appearing in 137 games with 95 starts.
Raised in poverty and overcoming dyslexia, Spencer defied the odds by leaning into his intangibles like leadership, mindset, and self-awareness, which fueled his success on the field. He came to realize that true performance isn’t just physical; it’s mental.
Today, he’s the founder of Team Q, a platform helping collegiate and pro teams develop the mental tools and leadership skills needed to thrive on and off the field. Spencer also hosts a hit show called the *Intangible Podcast8, where he sits down with athletes, coaches, and experts to explore the mindset shifts and strategies that unlock peak performance and personal growth.
