Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt is a film and television actor known for primarily appearing in comedic or action roles.

At age 19, Pratt was waiting tables at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company restaurant in Maui, Hawaii when he was discovered by actor-director Rae Dawn Chong who cast him in the 2000 horror film Cursed Part 3, jumpstarting Pratt's acting career.

His role in Cursed Part 3 led to television roles for Pratt, including Bright Abbott in "Everwood" and Ché in "The O.C." From 2009 to 2015, Pratt portrayed the lovable but dimwitted Andy Dwyer in "Parks and Recreation." Originally meant to be a temporary character, producers liked Pratt so much they asked him to become a series regular on "Parks and Rec."

Some of Pratt's notable film roles include Moneyball, The Five-Year Engagement, Zero Dark Thirty, Delivery Man, and Her. In 2014, he broke out as a leading man after headlining two of the year's biggest films: he voiced Emmet Brickowoski in The Lego Movie and starred as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy.

In 2015, Time magazine named Pratt one of the 100 most influential people in the world on the annual Time 100 list. That same year, he headlined the sci-fi thriller Jurassic World, the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise and his most financially successful film. In 2016, he co-starred in the remake The Magnificent Seven, with Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke, and appeared with Jennifer Lawrence in the sci-fi drama Passengers.

In 2017, he returned as Star-Lord for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. He also reprised that same role in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War and 2019's Avengers: Endgame.
