Chris Parnell

Chris Parnell is an actor, comedian, and singer whose career spans live sketch comedy, television, film, and voice acting. Parnell began his career with the Los Angeles comedy troupe The Groundlings before gaining national attention as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series "Saturday Night Live." While performing with The Groundlings, Parnell appeared in commercials and guest roles on sitcoms such as "Seinfeld," "Friends," and "Murphy Brown."

During his tenure on "Saturday Night Live," Parnell became known for his resilience and memorable performances. He is the only performer to have been fired twice from the show, returning each time. Notable sketches include "Lazy Sunday," "SNL's" first Digital Short, which is credited with contributing to the early popularity of YouTube.

After "SNL" Parnell transitioned into a prolific television career. He played Dr. Leo Spaceman on the NBC sitcom "30 Rock" and co-starred on the ABC comedy series "Suburgatory." In film, Parnell has had supporting roles in "21 Jump Street," "Hotel Transylvania" and its sequel, "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," and "Sisters."

Parnell is also recognized for his work as a voice actor in animation and advertising. He voices the narrator on the PBS Kids series "WordGirl," Cyril Figgis on the FX series "Archer," Jerry Smith on Adult Swim's "Rick and Morty," and Doug on Fox's "Family Guy." His commercial work includes voicing the Hamburger Helper mascot Lefty, appearing in advertisements as America's Dad for Orbit Gum, and voicing The Progressive Box in a series of advertisements for Progressive Corporation.
