Chris Matthieu

Chris Matthieu is an entrepreneur, technologist, and innovation leader with a career focused on building transformative technology. After earning a degree in business and computer science, Matthieu managed large IT organizations as a vice president and chief technology officer before moving into entrepreneurship. He founded and exited five technology startups to major corporations, building companies at the forefront of artificial intelligence, robotics, IoT platforms, decentralized supercomputing, and metaverse solutions. Matthieu serves as vice president of developer ecosystem at RealSense, working with executive and sales teams to identify technology trends, shape strategy, and engage developers and enterprise customers.

Matthieu's ventures include Computes Inc. (acquired by Magic Leap), Octoblu (acquired by Citrix), XRPA.NET (creator of spatial web platforms grouproom.io and metaverses.io), Nodester (acquired by AppFog), Teleku (acquired by Voxeo/Tropo), and Digital Voice Technologies (acquired by Ideas and Associates). He joined Citrix through the acquisition of Octoblu, a real-time IoT platform he co-founded as CTO, which connects devices, systems, people, and clouds to a global mesh network for automation and control of design flows, processes, and sensor data. Matthieu also founded Computes Inc., a decentralized and distributed mesh computing platform that leverages idle CPUs and GPUs for business and research applications.

At RealSense, originally an Intel division developing advanced 3D vision cameras for robotics and AI-driven computer vision, and now an independent company, Matthieu applies his approach to innovation. He collaborates with customers, sales, and product teams to explore applications of RealSense technology and bring new solutions to market. In his role, he focuses on artificial intelligence, robotics, and stereo depth technologies. His expertise spans IoT, robotics, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, autonomous drones and vehicles, blockchain, high-performance computing, RF, and wearables.

Matthieu is a frequent speaker at robotics and technology conferences, including the Robotics Summit and Expo. He has participated in media discussions about the evolution of robotics, addressing how robots use sensors and cameras and their potential roles in retail and service industries. A coder since age 10, Matthieu supports empowering developers, recognizing that early-stage projects can drive future innovation. His technical background and experience building and exiting companies across multiple technology sectors position him as a knowledgeable voice on the future of AI, robotics, and developer ecosystems.
