Chris Haworth

Chris Haworth is a professional pickleball player who transitioned from a successful tennis background to become a leading figure in the sport. Haworth, a three-time state champion and All-American in high school, played Division I tennis at Oklahoma State University and competed briefly on the professional tennis circuit. After retiring from competitive tennis, he worked as a director at a tennis academy in Oklahoma City, where he first encountered pickleball.

Haworth quickly advanced to the professional pickleball ranks, earning multiple titles on the APP Tour in men's singles. His achievements include victories at the APP Punta Gorda Open, Delray Beach, and New York, as well as a bronze medal in Sacramento. Haworth has also competed on the PPA Tour, where he defeated top-ranked players such as Ben Johns and Federico Staksrud for a PPA Gold at the Orange County Cup and secured additional titles at the APP Newport Beach Open and Carvana PPA Masters.

Standing at 6 feet 4 inches, Haworth is known for his court coverage and groundstroke-heavy playing style, a skillset developed during his tennis career. He dedicates significant time to training and fitness, which has contributed to his success in professional pickleball. Haworth has competed in more than 50 professional tournaments, played over 400 career matches, and maintains a career win rate above 60 percent.

Haworth became the first Babolat-sponsored pickleball athlete, marking a milestone for both the player and the brand. In addition to his on-court accomplishments, Haworth advocates for the growth of pickleball and the development of stronger connections between recreational and professional players, contributing to the sport's expanding popularity in the United States.
