Chris Hare

Chris Hare is a technology executive, entrepreneur, and investor with more than 30 years of global experience spanning wireless, mobile, IoT, and user interface technologies across Europe, North America, and Asia. Based in North Carolina, he has founded and led multiple companies, built and advised international teams, and contributed to large-scale technology strategy and innovation initiatives for both startups and global enterprises.

He is CEO and Founder of The nTeTe Group, where he leads strategy, innovation, licensing, and business development for international clients, with a strong focus on the mobile and connected technology sectors. His work includes advising on global strategy, supply chain operations, IP licensing, funding, and innovation management. He also serves as CEO and Board Member of PRTI, a waste-to-advanced materials technology company, and is a partner in healthcare consulting with WakeMed.

Earlier in his career, Hare held senior leadership roles at Sony Ericsson, where he served as Head of Technology Incubation, Head of Industry Collaboration, and Head of Sourcing for the company’s largest business unit, overseeing an annual spend of more than $8.5 billion across teams in the US, Sweden, India, and Japan. He also led major innovation programs and helped bring emerging technologies into commercial mobile products. Prior to that, he built and scaled startups including Digit Wireless, leading sales and engineering teams that generated over $60 million in revenue, and worked with TRW and other ventures focused on IP and technology development.

In addition to his executive roles, Hare has been active as a board member, advisor, and investor in a range of technology companies. He has been a Limited Partner in Full Tilt Capital, a pre-seed investment fund, and a partner in Thingovation, an Internet of Things consulting firm, as well as MoveableCode, a SoLoMo venture in gaming and interactive media. He also previously served as Deal Architect for UK Trade & Investment’s Technology Partnerships group. Hare is a Companion and Chartered Manager of the Chartered Management Institute (UK), a member of IEEE, and has contributed to industry organizations including the North Carolina Technology Association and the Congressional Internet Caucus advisory community.
