Chris Elliott

Chris Elliott, son of Lee and Bob Elliott, is a Boston-born actor and comedian. Bob Elliott was formerly part of the comedy duo Bob and Ray. During his childhood, Elliott visited his father at the Graybar Building, observing the production of the Bob and Ray radio program.

Elliott did not attend college, choosing instead to work as a tour guide at Rockefeller Center. During this time, David Letterman visited with his mother. Elliott joked with Letterman, offering a child-price ticket and mentioning his father. A year later, Elliott was hired as a runner on the David Letterman Show.

Elliott’s comedic work at the show led to appearances as recurring characters such as the Fugitive Guy and the Guy Under the Seats. He later became one of Letterman’s writers and earned four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing in a Variety, Comedy or Music Program over 11 years. Elliott went on to write, produce, and star in the sitcom "Get a Life." The show debuted alongside "Seinfeld," and Elliott has recalled discussing the future of their respective series with Jerry Seinfeld during a flight.

Elliott co-wrote and starred in the film "Cabin Boy," which had a brief theatrical run but led to roles in films such as "Groundhog Day" and "There’s Something About Mary." He joined the ensemble cast of Saturday Night Live for one season.

Elliott’s television credits include voicing Dogbert on the show "Dilbert" and playing Peter in the final three seasons of "Everybody Loves Raymond." He has made guest appearances on shows including "King of Queens," "According to Jim," and "How I Met Your Mother." Elliott also starred in the Adult Swim series "Eagleheart." In addition to his work in television and film, Elliott co-authored the book "Daddy’s Boy: A Son’s Shocking Account of Life with a Famous Father" with his father.
