Cheryl Ladd

Cheryl Ladd is an American actress, singer, author, and humanitarian whose career has spanned five decades across television, film, music, and stage. She first captured national attention when she joined the cast of “Charlie’s Angels” in 1977 as Kris Munroe, stepping into the iconic crime‑fighting trio amid much publicity and remaining with the series through its final season in 1981. The role made her a household name and opened doors to a versatile career in entertainment that has included guest appearances on series such as “The Partridge Family,” “Happy Days,” and “Charmed,” as well as starring turns in made‑for‑television films and feature movies including “Purple Hearts,” “Millennium,” “Poison Ivy,” and “Permanent Midnight.” She also led the television drama “One West Waikiki” and from 2003 to 2008 portrayed Jillian Deline on “Las Vegas.”

Before her television breakout, Ladd pursued music under the stage name Cherie Moor and provided the singing voice for Melody on Hanna‑Barbera’s animated series “Josie and the Pussycats.” She released several albums, scored a Top 40 hit, and earned a Gold record, and in 1980 she performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl XIV. In 2000, she brought her talents to Broadway, starring as Annie Oakley in the revival of “Annie Get Your Gun.”

Beyond entertainment, Ladd is a dedicated advocate for children and families. She serves as a celebrity ambassador for Childhelp, a non‑profit focused on preventing and treating child abuse, and has long supported philanthropic efforts in that area. She has also published books, including the children’s title “The Adventures of Little Nettie Windship” and her golfing memoir “Token Chick: A Woman’s Guide to Golfing With the Boys,” reflecting her passion for the sport. For several years she hosted a golf tournament sponsored by Buick and continues to engage with fans through appearances, charity work, and social media.

Ladd remains active in entertainment appearances and public engagements, and while she has not announced any new major acting roles, her legacy as a beloved figure in television and popular culture endures.
