Cherry Jones

Cherry Jones is an established actress with a portfolio spanning theater, film, and television. Jones made her Broadway debut in 1987 with the play "Stepping Out" and went on to win Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Play for her roles in "The Heiress" and "Doubt." In addition to her theater work, Jones is also recognized for her work in film, with appearances in notable titles like "The Horse Whisperer," "Erin Brockovich," and "The Eyes of Tammy Faye."

Jones's impact on television is also significant, with memorable roles including Barbara Layton in "The West Wing" and President Allison Taylor in "24." Her portrayal of President Taylor won her a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2009. Other television roles include a stint in "Transparent," which earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination in 2015, as well as roles in "The Handmaid's Tale" and "Succession," for which she received Primetime Emmy Awards in 2019 and 2020.
