Cheech Marin

Cheech Marin is a Grammy Award-winning comedian, actor, and writer who first gained recognition as part of the comedy duo Cheech & Chong with Tommy Chong. The pair starred in eight films together before Cheech went on to land major roles in “Judging Amy”, “Jane the Virgin”, “Nash Bridges”, “The War with Grandpa”, and “Shotgun Wedding”. Marin has also voiced major characters in several animated features including “The Little Mermaid”, "Oliver and Company”, "The Lion King”, “Coco”, “It’s Tough To Be A Bug”, “Cars” 1, 2, & 3, “Elena of Avalor”, and “Beverly Hills Chihuahua”.

In the mid-1980s, he began developing what is now the world’s largest private collection of Chicano art. His collection has shown at more than 50 museums around the world. Comprised of paintings, drawings, prints, mixed-media artworks, sculptures and photography, the collection now resides at The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture of the Riverside Art Museum, which opened in 2022.

Marin and his children developed a brand of curated cannabis called Cheechʼs Stash. Utilizing over four decades of legendary experience, Marin has personally selected strains and worked with master growers to sustainably produce an all-natural selection of quality cannabis products which are sold in Canada.

Marin has published his memoir "Cheech is Not My Real Name…But Donʼt Call Me Chong!”, a series of childrenʼs books based on Cheech the Bus Driver, and several books featuring works from his Chicano art collection.
