Charles Vogl

Charles Vogl is an award-winning author, executive adviser, and keynote speaker whose work focuses on leadership, community building, and organizational resilience. He is the author of three books, including the international bestseller "The Art of Community." Drawing on spiritual traditions and personal experience, "The Art of Community" outlines seven principles for growing enduring, effective, and connected communities. His second book, "Storytelling for Leadership," leverages his background as a PBS documentary filmmaker to provide guidance for leaders on sharing authentic stories and inspiring emotional resonance. His third book, "Building Brand Communities," co-authored with Carrie Melissa Jones, won an Axiom Business Book Gold Medal and addresses organizational leaders seeking to connect people in ways that serve both members and broader organizational goals.

Vogl's career spans multiple sectors, beginning with volunteer work in a homeless shelter, human rights work in Sub-Saharan Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, and building teams to create high-impact media as a New York documentary filmmaker. His PBS film work received several international awards, including the Amnesty International Movies that Matter Award. As a producer and writer, he is known for films including "New Year Baby" and "William Kunstler: Disturbing the Universe."
