Celeste Fralick

Dr. Celeste Fralick is a data scientist and cybersecurity expert with a career at the intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital security. As senior principal engineer and chief data scientist at McAfee, Fralick is responsible for the company's technical analytic strategy, integrating analytics into both consumer and enterprise products as well as internal business intelligence.

With nearly 40 years of experience in data science, statistics, and architecture across eight market segments, Fralick is recognized as an authority on AI-driven cybersecurity. Her professional journey began as a quality and reliability engineer at Texas Instruments, where her initial work in developing statistical process control fostered a lasting interest in data. She held additional roles at Fairchild Semiconductor and Medtronic, further developing her expertise in data science. Prior to Intel's divestiture of McAfee, Fralick served as chief data scientist in Intel's Internet of Things Group, where she developed machine learning and deep learning analytics for multiple markets. She holds a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Arizona State University, with a focus on predictive analytics and neuroscience.

At McAfee, Fralick has developed AI models to detect ransomware and other security threats and leads the McAfee Analytic Center of Excellence, supporting agile model development and eight Community of Practice groups worldwide. She has chaired global engineering bodies, served on editorial boards, contributed to standards development, and led process and product development efforts at Intel, Medtronic, Fairchild, and Texas Instruments. Fralick also serves on various industry and academic boards and journal editorial staffs, and is the author of the book "Intelligent Analytics: Bringing Analytics to the Internet of Things."

Fralick has been recognized by Forbes, SC Media, Industry Leaders, and Insights Success for her contributions to technology and cybersecurity. She was also named a Top 10 Global Leader by Industry Era. Her work in AI reliability includes participation in the task group that developed ISO 24028, an AI trustworthiness standard, and she has advocated for measuring AI model decay as a key industry metric.

During a period of personal health challenges, Fralick led data science for Intel Security and continued her work as chief data scientist for McAfee while undergoing treatment. She has spoken about how perseverance and tenacity have shaped her approach to work and life. As a keynote speaker, Fralick addresses topics such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, women in technology, and futurism, offering both technical expertise and personal insight.
