Catherine Reitman

Catherine Reitman is an American-Canadian actress, writer, producer, and director whose career spans film, television, and digital media. Reitman studied acting at the University of Southern California and developed her comedic skills as a member of the Sunday Company at the Groundlings improv theater and school in Los Angeles. Her early screen work includes roles in films and television series such as "Knocked Up," "I Love You, Man," "Friends with Benefits," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "How I Met Your Mother," and "Black-ish," demonstrating versatility across comedy and drama.

Reitman is known for creating "Workin' Moms," a sitcom that aired on CBC and Netflix. Drawing from her own experience with postpartum depression, she developed the series to explore the realities of working mothers. As creator, executive producer, lead writer, director, and star, Reitman contributed to every aspect of the show. "Workin' Moms" received multiple Canadian Screen Award nominations, including Best Lead Actress in a Comedy and Best Comedy Series, and earned an International Emmy Award nomination, establishing its significance in North American comedy.

In addition to her work on "Workin' Moms," Reitman has received two Gracie Awards from the Alliance for Women in Media for Best Lead Actress and Best Director, recognizing her contributions both on screen and behind the camera. She delivered a TEDxToronto talk titled "A Guide to Believing in Yourself (But for Real This Time)," sharing insights on creative perseverance and self-belief.
