Catherine O'Hara

Catherine O'Hara, OC, is a Canadian-American actress recognized for her varied body of work that spans both television and film. O'Hara has served as a standout figure on "Second City Television" from 1976 to 1984, and won the 1982 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series for her contribution to "SCTV Network." She was awarded the Genie Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1999 film "The Life Before This," and earned further recognition with an Emmy Award nomination for the 2010 television film "Temple Grandin."

From 2015 to 2020, O'Hara starred as Moira Rose on the CBC sitcom "Schitt's Creek," earning her a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a TCA Award. Her portrayal of Moira Rose also led to her winning six consecutive Canadian Screen Awards for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
