Casting Crowns

Casting Crowns emerged as a contemporary Christian and Christian rock band in 1999, gaining significant recognition with the release of their debut album “Casting Crowns” in 2003. Not only did this album position them as one of the fastest-selling debut artists in Christian music history, but its song “Voice of Truth” also clinched a record-breaking 14 consecutive weeks at No. 1 beginning in 2003. Their subsequent album, “Lifesong,” made its debut at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2005 and garnered them their first Grammy Award in 2006.

Known for their ministry of discipleship through music, Casting Crowns continued to touch hearts with their third studio album “The Altar and the Door,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and No. 1 on the Hot Christian Albums chart in 2007. The single “East to West” from this album marked 16 consecutive weeks at No. 1 in 2007, making it their most successful single to date. The band’s song “Slow Fade” also featured in the soundtrack of the Kendrick Brothers film “Fireproof.”

With their music, Casting Crowns has consistently established new benchmarks, with the album “Until the Whole World Hears” setting a record for the highest Christian album debut in history. Their career sales have exceeded 10 million records, and they have won multiple Dove Awards, including Artist of the Year. Alongside their musical accolades, members of the band, such as lead singer Mark Hall, are active ministers at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough, Georgia, further encapsulating their commitment to their faith and community.
