Casey Cott

Casey Cott is an American actor and producer recognized for his work in television, film, and musical theater. Cott attended Boston University before transferring to the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, where he graduated. He began his acting career in Ohio regional theater, performing in productions such as "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" and "Romeo and Juliet." While at Carnegie Mellon, he continued to appear in regional theater, including "Parade" at Pittsburgh's New Hazlett Theater.

During his final year at Carnegie Mellon, Cott was cast as Kevin Keller on the CW drama series "Riverdale," a television adaptation of the Archie Comics universe. The character is notable as the first openly gay character in Archie Comics history. Cott originally auditioned for the roles of Archie Andrews and Jughead Jones before being cast as Kevin. He was promoted to series regular in the second season and continued in the role throughout all seven seasons of "Riverdale," contributing to the show's evolution from high school drama to more mature themes.

Cott's portrayal of Kevin Keller contributed to increased LGBTQ+ representation on network television. In addition to his work on "Riverdale," Cott made a guest appearance as Lucas Hull in the "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" episode "Conversion." His television and film credits include "Asking For It," "All the Little Things We Kill," "Katy Keene," and "Instinct."

Cott's early career emphasized theater, with roles in regional and concert stagings. He starred as the title character in a Kennedy Center revival of "The Who's Tommy," directed by Josh Rhodes, and appeared as Moses in the premiere concert reading of Stephen Schwartz's "The Prince of Egypt." Cott made his Broadway debut as Christian in "Moulin Rouge!" at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. With a foundation in musical theater and experience portraying complex characters, Cott has established a career spanning television, film, and stage.
