Carter Bryant

Carter Bryant is a professional basketball player and forward for the San Antonio Spurs, selected with the 14th overall pick in the NBA Draft. Recognized as a consensus four-star recruit and one of the top players in his class by major recruiting services, Bryant was chosen to participate in the McDonald's All-American Boys Game during his senior year of high school. He began his collegiate career at the University of Arizona, starting five games as a freshman and averaging 6.5 points per game in a limited role on a team led by veteran players. In 19.3 minutes per game, Bryant recorded 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks, shooting 37.1 percent from three-point range. His athleticism contributed to his shot-blocking ability and finishing at the rim.

During his rookie season with the Spurs, Bryant experienced a range of firsts, including participating in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest, where he finished in second place with 93 points and achieved a 50-point dunk. He contributed significantly in the playoffs, particularly in San Antonio's second-round series win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, demonstrating defensive versatility by guarding multiple positions. The Spurs advanced to the NBA Finals after defeating the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, making Bryant the third Arizona alumnus to reach the Finals in his rookie season, joining Luke Walton and Richard Jefferson. He has served as an ambassador for Gallaudet University and has expressed a commitment to promoting Deaf awareness and inclusion in professional sports.
