Carrie Lynn Arnold

Dr. Carrie Lynn Arnold is an executive leadership coach, author, and educator focused on supporting women leaders in amplifying their voices within the workplace. As the founder of The Willow Group, Arnold collaborates with leaders across healthcare, federal government, education, and other industries. With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, human resources, training, and organizational development, she has held leadership roles in multi-hospital systems. Arnold launched her coaching and consulting practice in 2011, bringing extensive institutional knowledge to her work with clients at all levels of organizational leadership.

Arnold holds a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's degree in organizational management, and a doctorate in human development. She attended Georgetown University and earned a certificate in leadership coaching. Arnold is certified by the International Coach Federation as a Master Certified Coach and is also a Board Certified Coach. In addition to her coaching practice, she serves as associate faculty for the Evidence Based Coaching Program at Fielding Graduate University. As a post-doctoral fellow with the Institute for Social Innovation, Arnold conducts research on voice and leader silencing.

Arnold has coached clients in the federal government, education, healthcare, and private sectors, working with more than 300 individual and group clients, including emerging leaders, presidents, CFOs, COOs, CHROs, VPs, physicians, and superintendents. She has experience facilitating team development, change management, shared decision making, and leadership development programs. Arnold is certified in the MBTI assessment, Leadership Circle Profile 360, and is a trained Lean facilitator, mediator, DDI instructor, and university-level educator.

Arnold is the author of "Silenced and Sidelined: How Women Leaders Find Their Voices and Break Barriers," which addresses the challenges women face in the workplace, particularly the silencing of women leaders. The book explores the dynamics that can suppress a leader's voice and offers solutions for change. Arnold's research highlights that women comprise nearly half the workforce but continue to hold less than 10 percent of executive leadership roles. When women feel silenced, they are often unable to remain on their leadership trajectories and may opt out of leadership roles.

Arnold is a keynote speaker on topics including female leadership, women in business, empowerment, business coaching, change management, corporate culture, and professional development. Her presentations at professional gatherings, such as the ICF Converge Conference, engage audiences of coaches and leaders. Through her research, writing, and coaching, Arnold contributes to the ongoing conversation about women's leadership and organizational equity.
