With over a decade of career & professional development experience, Caroline Dowd-Higgins has a desire to empower and energize people to achieve their personal goals. Her training and keynote style is engaging, high energy and positive with a focus on unlocking the self-advocate within each of us.

Caroline focuses on career, professional development, and empowerment themes utilizing creative techniques to help clients and organizations achieve results. Her formal education includes a Bachelor and Masters degree in Music and her many years singing on the professional stage have helped her hone the fine art of self promotion and stage presence. An accomplished public speaker and presenter, she is adept at helping individuals fine tune their communication skills and improve their professional public image and effectiveness in the workplace. A frequent presenter for corporate and non-profit entities, Caroline enjoys personal coaching, group sessions, and keynotes to help maximize communication effectiveness, on-the-job performance, and satisfaction.

Caroline Dowd-Higgins authored the book and maintains the blog: This Is Not the Career I Ordered® which showcases her savvy professional development advice and women who are thriving after a career transition or reinvention. As Director of Career & Professional Development and Adjunct Faculty at Indiana University Maurer School of Law, she coaches law students on how to prepare for the realities of the world-of-work in the legal arena and beyond. Dowd-Higgins also maintains an active private practice coaching individuals and corporate clients. She speaks nationally on professional development topics specializing in the success of women in the workforce. She writes for the Huffington Post, America Online (AOL), CNN Money, and More Magazine in addition to a column for The Chronicle newspaper in Indiana. Her work is syndicated internationally by major media venues. Dowd-Higgins hosts: Career Coach Caroline, a weekly national broadcast on CBS Radio, Tuesdays at 5pm ET and she is currently working on a special for Public Television on career and life empowerment for women.
