Carlos Valdes

Carlos Valdes is a Colombian-American actor, singer, and multi-instrumentalist whose career spans television, Broadway, and music. Valdes is best known for his role as Cisco Ramon/Vibe on The CW television series "The Flash" and other Arrowverse-related projects.

Valdes began his career in musical theater after graduating from the University of Michigan musical theatre program. He performed in the national tour of "Jersey Boys" and made his Broadway debut as Andrej in the Tony Award-winning musical "Once," where he played piano, guitar, ukulele, bass, and percussion. His work in "Once" earned him a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nomination for Favorite Breakthrough Performer.

Valdes transitioned to television with his debut in the American series "Arrow," before joining the spin-off series "The Flash" as a series regular in the role of Francisco Cisco Ramon, an engineer at S.T.A.R. Labs who assists Barry Allen alongside Harrison Wells and Caitlin Snow. The character was later revealed to have metahuman powers, taking on the moniker Vibe. Valdes appeared in 147 episodes of "The Flash," as well as other Arrowverse productions such as "Supergirl," "Vixen," "Freedom Fighters: The Ray," and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." His portrayal of the tech genius earned him a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor on Television.

After leaving "The Flash" following its seventh season, Valdes expanded his range with new projects. He starred among an ensemble cast including Julia Roberts, Sean Penn, and Dan Stevens in the limited series "Gaslit," produced by Sam Esmail. He also starred opposite Mae Whitman in the Hulu musical series "Up Here," from Tommy Kail and the team behind "Frozen," Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Valdes lent his vocal talents to the video game "Starfield."

Valdes returned to Broadway, stepping into the role of Orpheus in the Tony Award-winning musical "Hadestown" at the Walter Kerr Theatre. He also works as a songwriter, instrumentalist, and recording artist, having independently released the EP "Night Off" under his music pseudonym Tha Los. Valdes continues to demonstrate versatility and depth across television, Broadway, and music, establishing a presence in the entertainment industry as an actor, musician, and performer.
