Carl D. MacBride is recognized as an authority in the field of missing persons location and investigative research. He is the founder of International Research Specialists Inc., also known as People Locator Inc. International Research Specialists Inc. has achieved international recognition as a leader in locating missing persons and debtors, particularly in cases where collection agencies and other private investigation firms have been unsuccessful. MacBride's expertise is acknowledged across the investigative, financial, and legal industries.

MacBride's career encompasses a broad range of professional experience. He began his career in retail, advancing to the role of restructuring manager and setting company records throughout Canada. He later joined Mutual of New York Life Insurance Company as a life underwriter, ranking among the top 10 producers for several years before becoming an underwriting agent trainer. MacBride pursued additional college courses to earn credits and degrees, as well as insurance specialty training at Geneva College, including LUATC and the C.L.U. program.

After acquiring a Canadian-based private investigation company, MacBride relocated the business to the United States and established an affiliation with Wackenhut Corp, now G4S, a global security and investigation company. He negotiated the acquisition of the client and asset list of International Tracing, a primary competitor, on behalf of International Research Specialists Inc.
