Cam Newton

Cam Newton is recognized as a dual-threat quarterback who contributed to the evolution of the position in American football. Before entering the NFL, Newton played at Auburn University, where he completed 185 of 280 passes for 2,854 yards and 30 touchdowns, while also rushing for 1,473 yards and 20 touchdowns. He became the first player in Southeastern Conference history to throw for more than 2,000 yards and rush for more than 1,000 yards in a single season. Newton led Auburn to a National Championship and received the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Player of the Year Award, and Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award. He is one of four Auburn players to have his number retired, alongside Pat Sullivan, Bo Jackson and Terry Beasley.

Newton was the first overall pick in the NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. In his rookie season, he led all quarterbacks in rushing yards and touchdowns and became the league's first rookie quarterback to throw for 4,000 yards in a season, earning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. Newton ranks second in career quarterback rushing touchdowns and third in career quarterback rushing yards. He won the NFL MVP Award, rushed for 10 touchdowns with 10 interceptions, and guided the Panthers to a 15-1 record and a Super Bowl appearance. Over his career, Newton spent nine seasons with the Panthers, earned three Pro Bowl selections, played for the New England Patriots, and returned to Carolina before concluding an 11-year NFL career.

Following his playing career, Newton transitioned into sports media and content creation. He established a production studio in metro Atlanta and hosts "4th and 1," a podcast focused on football, leadership, and culture. After appearing on BET's "106 & Sports," Newton announced he would reinvest his earnings from the show to fund the "4th & 1 With Cam Newton" College Tailgate Experience, a multi-city tour with stops at HBCU campuses. Newton is the founder of Iconic Saga Productions and has served as a football analyst for ESPN, including appearances on First Take.

Newton also leads the C1N football organization, which develops young athletes' football skills through 7-on-7 tournaments and related events. He regularly attends and hosts tournaments under the C1N brand, supporting players across various age divisions. Newton is known for his candid commentary on NFL strategy, advocacy for HBCU football coverage, and engagement with the sports community, establishing his presence in sports media and youth football development.
