Cam'ron

Cameron Giles, known professionally as Cam'ron, is an American rapper, record executive, actor, and media entrepreneur from Harlem, New York. Giles began his music career in the mid-1990s as part of the group Children of the Corn, performing alongside Big L, Mase, and his cousin Bloodshed. Following the group's dissolution, Giles pursued a solo career, collaborating with artists such as Big L and Mase, and gained early support from the Notorious B.I.G. His debut album, "Confessions of Fire," produced a Top Ten, gold-certified hit.

After leaving Epic, Giles signed with Roc-A-Fella Records and released his third studio album, "Come Home with Me," which achieved Platinum status from the RIAA. The album featured his highest-charting singles, "Oh Boy" and "Hey Ma," which reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100. As co-founder of The Diplomats with Jim Jones, Giles further expanded his influence with the album "Purple Haze," recognized for its creative impact on New York rap and earning gold certification. Giles' influence extends beyond music, notably impacting hip-hop fashion and culture.

"Killa Season" served as both Giles' fifth studio album and the soundtrack to his self-directed film of the same name, debuting at No. 2 on the charts. He later released "Purple Haze 2," his first solo album in a decade, and collaborated with DJ A-Trak on the LP "U Wasn't There." Throughout his career, Giles has been noted for his distinctive production choices, fashion sense, and lyricism, establishing himself as a prominent figure in East Coast hip-hop.

Giles has also built a presence in sports media and podcasting. He launched the sports-centric podcast "It Is What It Is" with Ma$e and Treasure Wilson, which has ranked among the top sports podcasts on Spotify and accumulated a substantial following on YouTube. Giles expanded his media reach through a partnership with REVOLT to bring his "Talk With Flee" podcast to the network.

Balancing music, acting, business ventures, and sports commentary, Giles is recognized as a founding member of The Diplomats (Dipset) and for his witty lyricism. He continues to be a significant figure in hip-hop, media, and Harlem's cultural landscape.
