Cali Ressler

Cali Ressler is a workplace strategist and co-creator of the Results-Only Work Environment, a management philosophy that has influenced organizational approaches to productivity, autonomy, and employee performance. Developed with Jody Thompson at Best Buy headquarters in Minneapolis, Results-Only Work Environment was designed to address inefficiencies in traditional flextime policies by focusing exclusively on results. The approach represents a cultural shift that influences workplace attitudes and operations, granting employees flexibility as long as objectives are met.

Ressler's work at Best Buy provided the foundation for Results-Only Work Environment's practical application. Implemented as a pilot in corporate departments, the approach led to measurable improvements, including increased productivity, reduced voluntary turnover, and enhanced employee wellness through greater control over work time, as documented in organizational studies. The transition of 3,800 employees to a results-only model remains CultureRx's largest implementation. After CultureRx became independent from Best Buy, Ressler and Thompson co-founded the consulting firm to help organizations in sectors such as government and healthcare adopt the Results-Only Work Environment model.

Ressler is the co-author of two books on workplace transformation: "Why Work Sucks and How to Fix It: Inside the Results-Only Revolution" and "Why Managing Sucks and How to Fix It: A Results-Only Guide to Taking Control of Work, Not People." The latter received the Best Practices award at the Workplace Excellence Awards. These publications provide strategies for eliminating low-value work, reducing unnecessary meetings, and achieving measurable outcomes, contributing to discussions on the future of work, business innovation, and human resources.

Ressler developed a culture transformation system studied by the National Institutes of Health, with implementation in a Fortune 200 company and multiple healthcare facilities demonstrating improvements in organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and workplace culture. Results-Only Work Environment training has been conducted across industries including government, manufacturing, agencies, childcare, healthcare, and education. Academic research has confirmed that participants in the Results-Only Work Environment experience improvements in health behaviors and well-being.
