Buzz Patterson

Lieutenant Colonel Robert "Buzz" Patterson, United States Air Force (Retired), is the author of two New York Times best sellers, "Dereliction of Duty: The Eyewitness Account of How Bill Clinton Compromised America's National Security" and "Reckless Disregard: How Liberal Democrats Undercut Our Military, Endanger Our Soldiers, and Jeopardize Our Security." Additional books by Patterson include "Conduct Unbecoming: How Barack Obama is Destroying the Military and Endangering Our Security" and "War Crimes."

Patterson served 20 years as a pilot on active duty in the United States Air Force, with assignments that included combat operations in Grenada, Somalia, Rwanda, Haiti, Bosnia, and the Persian Gulf. He served as the senior military aide to President Bill Clinton, responsible for the President's Emergency Satchel, known as the Nuclear Football, and acted as operational commander for all military units assigned to the White House, including Air Force One, Marine One, Camp David, White House Transportation Agency, and White House Mess.

Patterson's military commendations include the Defense Superior Service Medal for his work at the White House and the Air Force Air Medal for flying 15 combat support missions into Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. After retiring from the Air Force, Patterson pursued a career as a commercial airline pilot, writer, and conservative speaker, and later retired from Delta Air Lines. He has also worked as a leadership consultant and was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives in California's 7th District.

Patterson is a frequent guest on national television and radio talk shows, with appearances on "Hannity and Colmes," "The O'Reilly Factor," CBS Morning Show, Fox and Friends, "Hardball with Chris Matthews," "The Dennis Miller Show," C-SPAN Book Notes, Joe Scarborough, Heartland with John Kasich, and MSNBC News, as well as radio programs hosted by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, G. Gordon Liddy, and Hugh Hewitt.

Patterson is a distinguished graduate from Air Command and Staff College, holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Virginia Tech, and a master's in business administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.
