Brittany Mahomes

Brittany Mahomes is a former professional soccer player, certified fitness entrepreneur, and founding co-owner of Kansas City Current, a top-division club in the National Women's Soccer League. Mahomes earned All-East Texas Forward honors in high school and played collegiate soccer at the University of Texas at Tyler, where she set single-season program records with 18 goals and 40 points as a senior. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and continued her athletic career internationally with Icelandic club UMF Afturelding/Fram, contributing to the team's promotion to a higher division during her season abroad. Her collegiate achievements were recognized with induction into the University of Texas at Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame.

After retiring from professional soccer, Mahomes transitioned into entrepreneurship, becoming a certified personal trainer and launching "Brittany Lynne Fitness," an online training platform focused on accessible fitness for all levels. She developed training programs for elite athletes and expanded her influence in the fitness industry. Mahomes became part of the ownership group awarded an NWSL expansion team, later rebranded as Kansas City Current, and played a key role in the development of a dedicated stadium at Berkley Riverfront Park in Kansas City, Missouri.

Under Mahomes's co-ownership, Kansas City Current has emerged as a prominent franchise in women's professional sports. CPKC Stadium, the first soccer stadium built specifically for a women's professional sports team, sold out every home match in its inaugural season. The team reached a $275 million valuation and won the NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup. Mahomes has advocated for gender parity in sports, emphasizing the importance of world-class facilities and equal investment for women athletes. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, she expressed her vision for young girls to aspire to play at stadiums like CPKC.

Mahomes's influence extends beyond soccer. She debuted as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and joined the NWSL's advisory board, reinforcing her leadership in women's sports business. Her career reflects a commitment to advancing women's athletics, from collegiate record-setter and international player to fitness entrepreneur and sports team owner.
