Brian Wong is the Co-founder and General Partner at Ascii Ventures, an early stage venture fund focused on investing in “Boringtech” companies. He was formerly co-founder at Kiip (pronounced “keep”). Kiip is credited with the creation of rewards-based advertising. The company was backed by over $40mm in capital from Verizon Ventures, American Express Ventures, True Ventures, and others. Kiip was acquired by Ninthdecimal/InMarket in 2020. Wong received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia at age 18, after skipping four K-12 grades. He was a recipient of the Forbes’ “30 under 30”, three years in a row.
Wong launched his first book when he was 25, called The Cheat Code, published by Penguin/Crown. The Cheat Code contains 71 bite-sized shortcuts and tips to accelerate success in life. The best-selling book has been translated into Chinese and Arabic and is now read all over the world.
