Brian Snitker

Brian Snitker, a longtime figure in the Atlanta Braves organization, began his career as a player in their minor league system. His minor league experience was not limited to playing, as Snitker also had a successful run as a manager, leading the Myrtle Beach Pelicans to two championships in 1999 and 2000. His managerial acumen was recognized with the Carolina League Manager of the Year award in both years. Apart from his managerial experience, Snitker has contributed to baseball as a coach in diverse roles, including bullpen and third base coach. His tenure as manager of the Atlanta Braves began in 2016 and lasted until 2025.

During his time as manager, Snitker achieved many notable accomplishments. He led the Braves to consecutive division titles in 2018, 2019, and 2020. His leadership culminated in a World Series victory in 2021 against the Houston Astros. Such a track record of success was rewarded with a contract extension through the 2025 season. Moreover, Snitker's managerial record includes leading the Braves to over 100 wins in the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Snitker's excellence in management was acknowledged multiple times. He won the National League Manager of the Year Award in 2018 and was voted the Sporting News NL Manager of the Year in 2019. After announcing his retirement as manager in 2025, Snitker transitioned into a senior advisory role with the organization, continuing his nearly half-century relationship with the Braves.
