Brian Roberts

Brian L. Roberts is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Comcast Corporation, a global media and technology company. Since becoming President of Comcast in 1990, when the company had $657 million in annual revenue and served 2.4 million customers, Roberts has led Comcast’s transformation into a Fortune 35 company with 182,000 employees, $124 billion in annual revenue, and 52 million customers worldwide.

Under his leadership, Comcast has grown through innovation and strategic acquisitions, including NBCUniversal in 2011 and Sky in 2018, significantly expanding the company’s global media footprint. Today, Comcast provides broadband, wireless, and video services through Xfinity, Comcast Business, and Sky; produces and distributes entertainment, sports, and news via NBC, Telemundo, Universal, Peacock, and Sky; and operates theme parks through Universal Destinations & Experiences.

Roberts has received numerous accolades for his leadership, including recognition by Barron’s as one of the “World’s Best CEOs,” and as a “Businessperson of the Year” by Fortune magazine. He has also been named one of America’s top CEOs by Institutional Investor for 19 years. His awards include the Humanitarian Award from the Simon Wiesenthal Center, the Pennsylvania Society’s Gold Medal for Distinguished Achievement, and the Legend in Leadership Award from the Yale School of Management.

Roberts is a member of the Business Roundtable and previously served on President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management, a former Chairman of the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, and Director Emeritus of CableLabs, where he served three terms as Chairman.

A former All-American squash player, Roberts has competed in the Maccabiah Games in Israel six times. He resides in Philadelphia with his wife, Aileen.
